Good morning-
We are excited to announce that LTHS will be featured on ABC 7’s Friday Flyover next Friday, Sept. 6th! Here are some details:
-The last few years, ABC 7 has featured a school on their morning broadcast each Friday of the football season. There will be live camera shots of our students, interviews, and a helicopter aerial view of the football field with the students forming different formations. We will be doing LTHS, Porters, and Porters 1. Thank you to Brian Covey and the band for their assistance!
-We are encouraging our students and staff to attend to show our Porter Pride and school spirit! Announcements will be made beginning today at both campuses.
-The theme for the football game that night against Wheaton Warrenville South is a “white out,” so we are encouraging everyone to wear white.
- Arrival time is 4:30 AM, as the broadcast will begin doing some live cut-ins around 5:00 AM.
-Students will be directed to enter at Porter Stadium and the first 300 students that arrive will receive a free t-shirt.
-Breakfast will also be provided in the cafeteria after the flyover, which will be around 7:00.
-We are also working on some different activities for the students while we are at Porter Stadium.
-We will provide more details as we communicate with ABC 7. Come on out for a fun time before school on Sept. 6th to show our Porter Pride!
